The more money you have the even less you need to rely on social connections and community because you can just pay for everything. For me personally disengaging with a lot of the expensive beauty regimens and kind of commercialized self care routines was good for my mental health, even if I were not then turning around and saving and investing that money. It costs $120 where I live to get a manicure pedicure plus tip, the therapy session that I attend also cost $120. Both have happened every two weeks money as a scarce resource. Sometimes you have to pick where you allocate that scarce resource.
