Tell another person the thing you want to tell the autistic person in your life, well, they are in earshot. Instead of saying something direct, you're asking, do you think we can make this work? It's an indirect statement. We like to fix issues with solutions. That can be very black and white and concrete. But it's a whole different response from your autistic friend or family member.
