The Relationship Between Protein Intake and Fat Freemass Gains

Protein intake in grams per kilogram per day is explaining about 12 or 13 percent of the variance in gains in fat freemass. The authors used a breakpoint analysis in the original paper which means they would suggest that a linear trend is not the appropriate trend line for this data. So when you add in the non-linear Trend line with a breakpoint in it you start to see where that 1.6 number comes from right?
