Is the Fed's Inflation Target a Good Thing?
The economy is either really close to full employment or it's not. The one thing we're confident is it's not miles over, miles past it. And so how many people two years ago would have said unemployment is going to be 3.5% by the middle of 2022? It was unimaginable during the deepest moments of the deepest recession since the Great Depression. So the deep constants that we think we understand are a lot less than we like to suggest.
