Do You Like the Vintage Plates?

There are three plating trends that I have noticed that I wanted to get your reactions to. The first is the use of natural organic materials for plates, like a cross-section of a tree stump instead of a plate or a piece of flat stone. The second is unconventional receptacles for the food: A salad in a mason jar and an after dinner drink in a test tube. And the third, which I think is the unmatched or mix and match grandma plates -- vintage plates with floral patterns.
