People are drinking less alcohol and it's a generational thing as well. There is no safe limit of alcohol but the risk is trivial compared to driving your car for five miles in LA. For social reasons, Mediterranean countries live much longer than U.S. because they do have an idea of all them having alcohol in small amounts over long periods of time.
