When I go deadlift, the only thing that is tired is my grip traps and erectors. So much of what you can do is limited by what your trunk core lower back can handle. If we get those tissues, those, what the hamstrings, challenge them in a way that doesn't limit your trunk doesn't promote excessive stiffness through the middle. It's still 1.5 or double my body weight. And that's, my hernia also has something to do with not lifting heavy in my lateral sense.
