The Binary System of Gender Identity
The number of people who do not squarely fit into the checkboxes of male or female as defined by the doctor when they are born is roughly twice the population of Canada. We have created an entire system of gender that is based on a false dichotomy of sex assigned at birth. There's just immense diversity and those numbers are likely low because most babies are not tested if there isn't something unusual in their bodies appearance or according to the doctor.
