Caesar's Most Important Battle - The Civil War
In the Civil War with Pompeii, another Roman leader who fought Caesar for control of the Empire. Other than fighting, the main challenge a Roman army faced was food. After landing in Greece, Caesar discovered that the local root vegetable could be harvested in winter and baked into bread. Problem was, this bread tasted disgusting. It was barely edible. Sure, Caesar's army would eat it to survive, but Caesar was facing a genuine chance of mutiny. Without the unprecedented trust he'd built, his army would almost certainly have given up by now. He happily eats the bread in view of his comrades.
