In mice taking rapamycin what you see is a protection against the age related loss of muscle. So we know that sarcopenia muscle loss is a common feature of aging in mice, in dogs, in people. Rapamycin which is an inhibitor of mTOR is actually protective against sarcopenia in both mice and rats. We don't know yet in people but that certainly demonstrates that you can inhibit mTOR with rapamycin and preserve muscle function and muscle mass.
