The Cost of Pursuing the Aspirational Self
No one can know if anyone has achieved the aspirational self except that they perform it. It's not an accident that many of the A list teachers of globalized yoga came from theater, music or movie backgrounds. Social media and algorithmic economies provide a huge incentive to increase the performance of chasing after the Aspirational self.
