The Problem With Shooting at the Edge of a Round Corner
The game is only looking one bounce ahead at a time because the play field changes so much it wouldn't make any sense to look further, though I could. The corners are not rounded. They're like three facets. So what I'm trying to solve is that if you have, like if you imagine aiming a laser beam at something that's round, that's kind of the problem we have. But since I was faking the physics already, I could do all the calculations for a proper collision, but then instead of using the actual collision normal, which would be the angle of the surface where the ball hits, I round that surface to the nearest 45 degree angle. It's completely fake
