In all sports, there can be times where consciously taking conscious control and talk to yourself can help. I wouldn't advocate forfort for doing this inner coaching, distant self talk, in the precise moment when the critical shot is needed. It's right before it's when, it's when,. if the anxiety starts to bubble up, right beforehand, ah, you want to prevent that response from taking over leading to the negative consequences we talked about earlier. So i think finding the right moments to to engage that coach can be very useful.
