What Is Constructivism in Developmental Psychology?

In development, that's gone back and forth. We can actually do everything that we want without having to think about abstract structure, if we just have enough data. But i think exactly some of the problems, like adversarial examples, where it turns out that just looking at statistics doesn't get you the right kinds of generalization, are suggesting that we're kind of coming up against some of the limits of what you can do just by looking at statistics.
