Do Dual Tasks Improve Balance?

There are several ways to do dual task. You can do it with a cognitive distractor as you said or you can do It with a physical second physical task like juggling while standing on one leg for example. The other benefit is that it it may improve cognition itself if you're trying to do a Cognitively difficult task while you're doing a physical task. Sometimes we use the dual physical tasks if there is a real loss of motor coordination like Parkinson's disease for example or post stroke and so we might do two physical tasks at once.
