The Effects of Aging on Mitochondria

One of your highest impact papers was actually saying, and it might lead on to something we'll talk about later, that exercise can sort of overcome some of these situations. So the more physically active you are as you're older, as you get older, the lower these inflammatory markers are expressed. And so the thought is that being, yeah, more physically active, exercising as you age, kind of helps suppress that low grade chronic inflammation that can contribute to pathophysiology is associated with aging.
