The Indian Tea Association
A group called the Indian Tea Association created a 40-year campaign to indoctrinate Indians into drinking tea. They gave away tea at public gatherings at religious festivals and set up tea stalls at everywhere from railroad stations, street side stations. And they even convinced the government to give industrial workers a tea break every day. By the end of the 20th century, 70% of Indians were drinking tea.
