I would practice at least once a week if not more practice the variation you can do to get yourself to those 40 reps because there is a need for a certain level of muscular endurance. The other thing I'd like you to think about is the old-fashioned grease the groove and it comes back to your complaintyou say here you can comfortably do uh five to six and around 15 on a max effort what I would recommend maybe on day on the first day several bouts a day anywhere from six to 15 times a day.
