Statistical Interaction Isn't Like Mechanistic Interaction, Right?
Sally Kohn: I would have thought just my intuition, like would have been that interaction of genes would have been very important. But actually, what you can have is that mechanistically, there can be a lot of interactions, but you can still explain most of the variation with a linear model. She says it's more that even if your function is not a purely linear function, you can often approximate it pretty well with a linear function.
