How to Create Shareholder Value in M&A?

The purpose of the senior leadership team primarily, not solely, but primarily is to create shareholder value. Sometimes that deleveraging, maybe you lever it up to do a great acquisition but hey, you need to bring your leverage down. Raising equity is dilutive. Sometimes selling part of the businesses that you bought is less dilutive and actually decorative and maybe more strategically sensible. You have to keep your eyes open, your antennas up, ears listening very carefully to changing circumstances. The way to create great shareholder value was to buy back stock and we did a $2 billion stock buy back a few years ago. We're doing with RXO this year.
