In 18 25, haiti was now on the map. But it wasn't until 18 38 that full and complete political recognition would be acknowledged. This happened to coincide with boyet negotiating the remaining hundred and 20 franc indemnity down to 60 million. He then settled into what turned out to be a fairly stable authoritarian regime.
