Creating a pattern for your breath to follow will lower your heart rate, lower your breath rate and actually give you an opportunity to cope with the feeling that you're going through. The third strategy that has had a big impact on my life is the power of scent. I think that it's such an underutilized part of managing our stress. There's a reason why spars, why sacred places relax us. And again, using that breath work to actually breathe in that scent can transform how you feel.
