A lot of markets have had a pretty good start to the year. If we do have low inflation, essentially that means there's less need for central banks to raise interest rates. It could also mean that they can prioritize economic growth and be more willing to cut rates when necessary if a downturn looms. And so all of that's fodder for optimism is the reason why markets have been doing pretty well this year.
