Are You Holding on the Exhale or the Inhale?

Since his accident in 2015, I kind of, I hold my breath. People say you shouldn't do that, but I get better dilation, I get better strength. It's a slow release valve. And it's almost like the best way for me to remember it and internalize it. There's no mind when I'm under water. When I free dive,  there's no thinking about what I can change or how much energy is allocated towards that lift with all the intensity. But when I come up, then I want to focus on getting the benefits of my breathing,. You know, getting hypoxia and depleting your oxygen supply.
