Building a Foundation of Consciousness
Consciousness is a vast topic, it really can be boiled down to a few simple practices. You first have to be your own witness. Try setting an alarm a couple times a day in your phone as we mentioned when that alarm goes off and you're present to yourself and your surroundings. The senses are another great tool to practice while doing this consciousness check-in: sight, smell, taste, touch. And each time you're doing that step, refocusing that spotlight of attention from wherever it was onto the breath.
