How Do We Get Information About Habits?
Eddie: The more i learned about habits, the more i was taring to question why we're even doing this podcast. A big takeaway of the habit literature is that information is not what controls people's behaviors. Habits do. So we need both of them and i get to keep my job. I say so in win professor wood likes to use two public health campaigns to illustrate this point - a fruit and vegi campaign and the anti smoking campaign. It's true that information is kind of useful for a short term change, but eventually you revert back to your habits.
