The Joy of Completion

When you're working in a constant state of burnout is that even when you achieve those outcomes, which is ostensibly the point of doing it in the first place, is you actually don't really feel anything. It's different than exhaustion. If you're not doing 16 to 20 hours every single day, you do eventually recover from. The time on and time off, there is a clear delineation between those two things. And so all of those things make it possible to feel the joy of completion and the catharsis of completion in a way that the contemporary lifestyle just never arrives.
