The Muscle Damage Hypothesis
The muscle damage hypothesis was proposed that basically the greater damage experienced after these centrics was a trigger for hypertrophy. Now, of course, now we understand that we get a load more pass attention in those eccentric contractions. And that's the contributor to potentially slightly greater hypertrophy within certain constraints. We don't need and never needed a muscle damage hypothesis in this particular case because very simply, you know, we've got passive tension that will do the job for us.
