We've got some idea, alvesley, there are many chemicals in coffee that aren't just cating. People who do have three or five cups of coffee a day are getting considerable amounts of fibre - which will be of benefit. But it's probably other chemicals within the coffee that have ficial effects on the heartand vire and these are the chemicals called polypenals. And so high concentrated the polypenales are really, i rocket fuel for your got microbes and make them produce these beneficial chemicals. We don't yet understand exactly how that happens. So this is still a working hypothesis.
