The Cult Is Like a Carismatic Leader, Right?
When a pastor fills his sermon with pithy sayings, he is giving the congregation the impression that i am very, very smart yan insight ful. And this is what freaks me out, because to me, this itiis is just so similar to cult tactics. When you have a leader who is not willing to give credit, or who just is is lazy in doing that, that sounds to me like someone who wants to be seen as the harbinger of truth and take credibility without earning it. We don't recognize the red flags af when we switch from being a church to going towards more cult-like thinking.
