Is Over Confidence the Best Documented Human Bias?
People talk about over confidence being the most robustly proven human bias. Most of sevidence, however, comes from laboratory experiments. The situation is not that much different from the cocoanuts. So often ta a lot of this evidence that we have actually comes from people trying to predict where they are in the ranking on some measure they don't have very much information about.
