The Importance of Managing Your Emotions
CPTSD according to the same source is the repeated traumas such as neglect, abuse or violence and sexual assault. It may not develop until years after the event. The symptoms of CPTSD which I found so validating because I was so involved in these, difficulty regulating your emotions. You don't run your life, your emotions run your life. Feeling very angry or distrustful at the world and that went into some paranoia as well for me,. constant feelings of emptiness or hopelessness along with suicidal thoughts and or ideation. And feeling as if you're completely different from everyone else and that no one will ever understand what you're experiencing.
