I wouldn't say like new to body scan. Like I understand the concept, but like you mentioned 10 minutes, 12 minutes. So if you look at like MBSR and mindfulness based stress reduction, the body scans in the traditional sense can go past an hour. But of course they can be adapted to whatever amount of time you have. And that would be my advice just to stay there for as long as your body really listening to the body, letting the body dictate the pace of your body scan.
