Television - The New Medium
In the fifties, that same ad driven model would help television overtake radio as the new it medium. By adding a visual element to broadcast, television production was many times more expensive than radio. Bank rolling a t v show was simply too expensive for a single sponsor. So began a shift in broadcasting from branded content to sponsor content.
