The Importance of Witnessing
There's very little space between a thought or an urge and then our reaction to it. But meditation is giving us more space between the impulse and the response so that we can witness it, decide if we truly want to act on it instead of having it be this reactionary knee jerk reaction. We're really giving space and we're developing that inner observer,. A part of us that is witnessing without doing anything about it because that's underdeveloped.
