I Can Do Hard Things
Our self-identity is like our foundation. It's what grounds us. Even if you don't necessarily feel it all the time, it's still important to believe that about yourself. I remember there was one time in my life where I was going through a pretty hard time and I was away from family and friends...I would wink at myself in the mirror whenever I'd see a mirror. And then I'd laugh and I would feel better. Yeah, it's a form of self-talk. There's somebody that I work with who has gone through some really challenging things. She's told me that that's kind of her mantra now: "I can do hard things"
