Downward Social Comparison

Raymond: My dad was always making comparisons between his children and our cousins, who he thought were a levle higher than we were in every way. So i think maybe i copied my mam's style of social comparison, which is that when she met people, she just didn't think too hard about how their greatness made her any less. There's also downward social comparison. I don't think it's a great strategy because it requires you to look down on other people. But let's take an example.
