i want to move away from defining love in terms of happiness, the way ta t that romantic myth tends to do. i want to think about what i have called u dimonic love, or good spirited love, which has room for sadness. And if you are experiencing sadness, it doesn't mean you're not in the state of eudimonic love. Sometimes beig sad is the right response to the world. Sometimes the world is a sad place. All these feelings are part of being human and being alive. I think that means they should be part of love.
