I've heard a lot of track coaches say what happens in the weight room stays in the weightroom. So I think it can develop result in force, and they have to be able to transfer that onto the track. But you're not going to transfer it just from body weight sprinting. You reach your peak power in a sprint within 0.8 to one second. And there's not enough exposure around peak power, peak horizontal power to create an adaptation.
