How to Deal With Grief

As a therapist, you have to build up some kind of armor to be able to withstand the fact that there are people that are going to be coming into your office that just feel awful. That is grief for a lot of times. There's nothing we can do to take the pain away. For me, I know personally I found out later why that grief was so hard, but I'm a seven on the Enneagram. And so grief work forces me to be present with it. It's like my worst nightmare.
