The Importance of Progressive Hamstring Loading in Rehabilitation
In an ideal world, I try to get people if they can to load three times a week in rehab. Anything above that is totally unnecessary. It's getting your load the muscle on one day and then you probably need 24 to 48 hours for it to recover and adapt and then train again. So at the start of rehab, potentially we could train a little bit more frequently if we're doing very some maximal loading. You could also add in some additional accessory exercises. If there's other areas that we need to work on, maybe mobility, it might be other identified weaknesses of muscles around the hip or the pelvis or the lumbar pelvic region.
