The Importance of Variety in Training

When your training becomes predictable, you're trying to do the exact opposite. You're trying to teach your body to become efficient and conserve energy. And that's how you develop skill. Your brain wants to know that it needs to execute a certain movement pattern in a variety of different ways so its attention network can be focused on what is happening. But when you're giving variety in training like that, that chaos type of training, it's catching that attention network in your brain's attention. I think you can see that in terms of like skill level kind of come out on these things.
