Is There a Link Between Knowledge and Intelligence?

Most people only want to learn insofar as it will result in them earning more money. Most people don't seem to care at all about learning new stuff. i honestly think that's the limiting factor on the popularity of space repetition systems. If if you are more intelligent and more creative does that give you more opportunities to make money? I just wonder if most people think like  i feel like most people have a really cynical view of knowledge.
