The only time you would ever need a sports drink is if you've ever done strenuous activity for more than an hour. People get salt from lots of other areas in their life. You could be getting that from a fruit or vegetable or like meat or yeah any other chip. It's one of those trade-offs where you're like okay you might have worked out for an hour but now you might have just eaten that amount back in sugar.
