Is There a Difference Between Strength and Performance?

In untrained individuals, there seem to be an additional signal from studies that also used some training protocols that caused muscle hypoxia. And so effectively, if you were a new trainee, they were suggesting that doing some higher rep work closer to failure plus or minus may actually increase strength in performance and a 1RM. But yeah, I found this really interesting just because it is just widely cited and said that, yeah, you should be getting stronger every week or every day or whatever. It's like, and doesn't even look like that for untrained individuals. It looks like it's just over weeks.
