The Importance of Mental Models
Mental models are just their simplifications of the world. Why do plants grow? Oh, well, we have a mental model called photosynthesis and that explains why plants grow. And then why do animals look the way we do? It's called evolution. And you know, we can explain that. And so in a lot of ways, I kind of view these concepts regardless of what discipline they come from, it's like a different lens.
