The May 68 Uprising in France

In May of 1968, students at the Sorbonne University in Paris began protesting against capitalism. The protests eventually spread throughout the country and inspired many dissatisfied workers to join in. This uprising in France became known as May 68. In some ways this is a time of deep rethinking of Marxist theory, says Frida Ghitis.
