The Importance of Maintaining Immune Function and Inflammation
We absolutely need our immune system just on a daily basis for keeping everything regenerated and healthy and functioning properly. That inflammation generally isn't something that we want to get rid of, not at all. And there are some differences between young athletes and older athletes. As our immune system ages, it's not quite as efficient. It doesn't switch on quite as quickly, but also it doesn't switch off quite as quickly.
