Is There a Defly Mentality in the Aviation Industry?

i think there are two different types of air crew member s. There are those who have a very much strong interest in the side of aviation, and they want to learn as much operationally as they can. But then it seems like you also have ones who think, oh, that's the pilot's job,. They don't keep up their skills. And i think that's a negative mentality, because we work in such small crews., so much of that part of our job is important.
