I think some of the most effective salespeople today are our engineers and technical people and service people. I really feel like whoever can solve your problem the easiest way is going to generate a sale or whatever it is they're offering. The real superstars are actually making people's problems visible and quantifiable, that in some cases they didn't even know they had. They're using all of these social tools and social networks to really connect, not to necessarily mine and prospect, but to go deeper in companies.
